About Us
The Board of Directors of the Portland-Suzhou Sister City Association is made up of a dedicated group of civic and community volunteers, all with professional and/or personal connections to Suzhou.
The Executive Board consists of President Ms Lynne McIntyre, Vice President Jim Mei, Secretary Dawn White, Treasurer Dr Earl Molander, and Member-at-Large Mr Andre Wang.. The full Board of Directors, including officers, is listed below in alphabetical order.
Mr Dale Archibald, Museum administrator, member of early Portland delegation to Suzhou to plan for Classical Chinese Garden. Board member since February 2006.
Ms Suwen Bian, Senior Financial Analyst at Homestead Capital. Board member since March 2006.
Mr Raymond Cheng, Architect, LRS Architects, Inc. Board member since September 2007.
Mr Dan Frechtling, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Knowledge Learning Corporation. Board member since October 2005.
Ms Debbie Leek, Independent Insurance Agent, Farmers Insurance/AFLAC. Board member since April 2006.
Mr Mike Lindberg, Consultant for Fleishman Hillard, Portland City Commissioner for 17 years. Member of 1985 visit that started the Sister City relationship. Board member since 1987.

Mr James M. Mei, PSSCA Vice President, Partner, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP (Portland, Shanghai). Board member since 1995.
Mr Jim Mockford, Software Engineer at Wacom Technology Corporation. Board member since September 2007.
Dr Earl Molander, PSSCA Treasurer, Professor Emeritus at Portland State University's School of Business.
Phil Peach, President/CEO of Oregon Remodelers Association, a trade group for residential remodeling contractors. Board member since 2002.
Mr Andre M. Wang, PSSCA Member-at-Large, Attorney at Law and Director of Compliance, Crown Research Corporation. Board member since 1998.
Ms Sarah Wang, Chief Financial Officer, Evanco Develoment, LLC. Over 14 years experience in finance with China Construction Bank. MBA candidate at University of Portland. Board member since 2006.
Ms Dawn White, PSSCA Secretary, Director of International Faculty Services at Portland State University; Board member since August 2001.
Mr Bob Wise, expert in sustainable development, Director of Team Oregon, LLC, and Senior Associate with Cogan Owens Cogan, LLC. Board member since January 2006.
Ms Hanling Yang, Senior Program Manager, China-US Center for Sustainable Development. Board member since September 2007.
Mr Steve Xue, associate professor of alternative medicine and speech-language-pathology at Portland State University, founder of Natural Medicine Without Borders Inc. Board member since February 2006.
